Frequently asked questions

Do I Need Previous Experience?

Many of our courses are suitable for complete beginners, whilst others may require existing qualifications or experience. Course requirements will always be listed clearly before booking.

Who Delivers The Training?

All training at FB Academy is personally delivered by Yasmin Dyson, Managing Director of Features Beauty and Master Educator for The London Brow Company.

How Many Students Are On Each Course?

We intentionally keep training groups small to allow maximum support and attention throughout your course. Most courses are delivered on either a:

  • 1:1 basis
  • 2:1 basis

with a maximum of 2 students per course.

Are The Courses Accredited?

Yes – FB Academy is fully insured and accredited by Associated Beauty Therapists.

Accredited courses allow students to gain insurance upon successful completion, subject to individual insurer requirements.

Will I Receive A Certificate?

Yes – students will receive an accredited certificate upon successful completion of their training course. Beginners courses will require a minimum of three case studies at home before completion.

Are Kits Included?

The price of the course is for the course only.

However, students can purchase professional starter kits and academy products directly through our online shop ahead of their training day.

To ensure kits arrive in time for your course, kit orders must be placed at least 2 weeks prior to your booked training date.

Do I Need To Bring A Model?

This depends on the course structure. For:

  • 2:1 training, students will usually work on each other during the practical session.
  • 1:1 training, students may either bring their own model or request for a model to be supplied where available.

Model requirements and timings will always be discussed after booking.

Are Patch Tests Required?

Yes – patch tests are required for relevant courses and practical models where applicable.

Patch testing information will be provided before your training date.

What Support Do I Receive After Training?

Students receive ongoing WhatsApp support after training, allowing continued guidance, troubleshooting support and advice once they begin offering treatments professionally.

Do You Offer Finance Options?

Yes – PayPal and Clearpay finance options are available on all courses at checkout.

For courses over £1,000, we offer monthly payment options via Pay It Monthly. If you’d like to purchase your course via Pay It Monthly please contact us first.

What Should I Bring On The Day?

Most courses simply require students to wear comfortable clothing and arrive ready to learn.

Any additional requirements will be sent over before your course date.

Is Lunch Included?

Light lunch and refreshments are included on full-day courses.

Where Is FB Academy Based?

FB Academy is based within Features Beauty in Eastbourne, with students travelling from across the South East and wider UK to train with us.

What Happens After I Book?

Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive all relevant course information including:

  • Course timings
  • Model requirements
  • Patch testing information
  • Preparation guidance
  • Recommended products and kit information
Can I Purchase Products After Training?

Yes – students can continue purchasing professional products and recommended academy essentials through our online shop after qualification.

What Happens If I Need To Reschedule My Course?

Please refer to our Academy Terms & Conditions regarding rescheduling and cancellation policies. If you need to move your course date, please contact the academy as soon as possible.
