These Terms & Conditions apply to all training courses provided by FB Academy Limited and/or Features Beauty Sussex Ltd, referred to throughout this document as “The Academy”, “The Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”. By booking a course with us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms outlined below.
About Our Training
Features Beauty Academy offers both 1:1 and group training courses.
We are approved educators of London Brow Company; however, all course content, training structure, manuals and accreditation are independently created and owned by Features Beauty Academy.
Our accredited diploma courses are accredited through ABT and are designed to allow students to gain professional insurance upon successful completion, subject to insurer requirements.
Please note: masterclasses are designed for existing professionals looking to improve or refine their skills. Masterclasses are not accredited diploma qualifications and may not be sufficient for obtaining insurance.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they are booking the correct course for their training and insurance requirements.
Payments & Cancellations
All course bookings are treated as business-to-business transactions. However, we offer a 24-hour cooling off period from the time of booking, during which the contract may be cancelled.
Deposits & Payments
You can choose to pay a deposit, or in full at time of booking.
- All deposits become non-refundable after 24 hours from booking
- Remaining balances are due 14 days prior to the course date
- A payment link will be sent for outstanding balances
- Payment links expire after 24 hours
- Failure to complete payment within this timeframe may result in your booking being cancelled and your space released
Any payments made prior to cancellation are non-refundable. If you wish to rebook following cancellation or non-payment, a new deposit and new course date will be required.
Course Transfers & Rescheduling
Students may transfer their booking to a future date provided a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice is given. If less than 3 weeks’ notice is provided, a new deposit will be required.
Courses booked within 14 days of the course date must be paid in full, are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
We will always try to accommodate rescheduling requests where possible; however, priority is given to existing confirmed bookings.
Non-Attendance
Failure to attend a booked course, workshop or package session will result in the course being forfeited. Missed training dates can be rebooked at the current market rate. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in future training bookings being refused.
Finance Providers
If you choose to pay using finance providers such as Clearpay or PayPal Pay in 3, you are entering a separate agreement with the provider. Late or missed payments may affect your credit file. Features Beauty Academy accepts no responsibility for agreements made with third-party finance providers.
Force Majeure
In rare circumstances including severe weather, road traffic accidents, illness, government restrictions or other events outside of our control, it may be necessary for training dates to be postponed or rescheduled.
Whilst every effort will be made to deliver all training as planned, The Academy cannot be held responsible for travel costs, accommodation, loss of earnings or other associated expenses incurred due to circumstances beyond our control. Where necessary, alternative training dates will be offered.
Illness & Insurance
If you suffer from ongoing health conditions, repeated illness or circumstances that may affect your ability to attend training, we strongly recommend arranging appropriate insurance cover. We are unable to provide refunds or compensation for missed training due to illness or unforeseen personal circumstances.
Courses & Certification
Successful completion of a course does not automatically guarantee certification or competence.
Students must successfully complete all required theory, practical assessments and coursework components before certification is issued.
Trainers reserve the right to request additional case studies or further assessment before issuing certification where required.
Certification will only be issued where the trainer believes the student has met the required standard safely and competently.
Group Training
We offer both 1:1 and group training options.
If you book onto a group training date and no other students are booked, you may be offered an alternative date. Where possible, at least 2 weeks’ notice will be provided.
Group training may require students to work on each other during practical sessions. If you are unable to receive treatment for medical, personal or religious reasons, please notify us before booking so alternative arrangements can be discussed.
Models & Patch Testing
Models may either be provided by Features Beauty Academy free of charge, or supplied by the student. Students must confirm their preference prior to the course date.
Student-Supplied Models
If you are bringing your own model, it is your responsibility to ensure:
- They are suitable for the treatment
- Consultation forms are completed
- Patch testing is completed where required
- They attend on time
If you later decide you would like us to provide a model instead, we require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice.
Features Beauty Academy cannot accept responsibility if a student fails to arrange a model or notify us that one is required. If your chosen model cancels within 2 weeks of the course date, it becomes the student’s responsibility to arrange a replacement.
Academy-Supplied Models
Whilst we will always do our best to arrange models where requested, in rare cases students may still be asked to source their own model if suitable availability cannot be secured. Sufficient notice will always be provided wherever possible.
Patch Testing
Where a patch test is required, patch testing kits will be posted to students prior to training.
If a student is bringing their own model, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure the patch test is carried out correctly and completed within the required timeframe.
Patch tests must be completed a minimum of 48 hours before training unless otherwise stated.
If a required patch test has not been completed, the model will not be able to receive treatment and this may prevent the student from completing the practical elements of the course.
Features Beauty Academy accepts no responsibility for incomplete patch testing, consultation forms or model non-attendance.
Complaints & Refunds
We are committed to providing high-quality education and support to all students. If you have any concerns regarding your training experience, these must be raised in writing via email as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to review and resolve the matter appropriately.
Due to the nature of digital course materials, training preparation, educator time and reserved training dates, we do not offer refunds on completed or partially completed training courses.
Refunds will not be issued due to:
- Lack of confidence following training
- Difficulty obtaining insurance where course requirements have not been met
- Failure to complete case studies
- Business performance or inability to gain clients
- Student preference or change of mind after the 24-hour cooling off period
- Model issues outside of our control
- Failure to follow course guidance or aftercare
Features Beauty Academy reserves the right to offer additional support, further assessment or corrective training where appropriate. Abusive, threatening or defamatory behaviour towards staff, educators, models or students may result in removal from training without refund.
Student Responsibility
Students are responsible for ensuring they:
- Meet any course prerequisites before booking
- Hold appropriate insurance where required
- Comply with local licensing requirements
- Practice safely and within their competency level following training
Features Beauty Academy cannot guarantee individual business success, income, client retention or employment following completion of training.
Intellectual Property
All training materials, manuals, guides, videos, branding and course content remain the intellectual property of Features Beauty Academy.
Course materials are provided for personal educational use only and must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, taught or resold without written permission.
Recording training sessions, whether video or audio, is not permitted unless agreed in advance.
Social Media & Content
Photography and video content may be captured during training days for educational and marketing purposes. By attending training, students consent to being photographed or filmed unless they notify us in writing prior to the course date.
Students may not use Features Beauty Academy branding, manuals or marketing materials in a way that suggests partnership, employment or accreditation beyond the certification provided.
